About Me
My name is Anna, Ying Pun. I am from Hong Kong. I am currently an assistant professor of mathematics (tenure-track) at Baruch College (CUNY), and a faculty member at the CUNY Graduate Center.
I received my Bachelor’s and MPhil degrees in mathematics from the University of Hong Kong, and my PhD from the University of Pennsylvania in 2016. I was previously a postdoctoral researcher at Drexel University and at the Institut Mittag-Leffler (Spring 2020), and later a Whyburn Research Associate and Lecturer at the University of Virginia.

My research is in algebraic combinatorics, and I enjoy collaborating with others across different areas of combinatorics. I am also involved in mentoring students at various levels, including undergraduate and high school students, and in organizing activities in the combinatorics community. I serve as an editor for Innovations in Incidence Geometry.
Outside of mathematics, I enjoy working on projects that connect mathematics with outreach and real-world applications. I also like animals, especially dogs, as well as doing jigsaw puzzles, listening to music, and drawing.
